There were a few things that went down over the past year, and I have pictures of some, and now that I have my computer set up again, I thought I would tell a few stories. Be warned that this is a bit of a marathon because I just wanted to get it done in one shot. So here they are:
The last apartment I occupied while living in Provo was short-lived. But while I was there, I had a friend. Her name was Small-Pants. I found her living on my pants one day and she looked so comfortable, I just couldn't disturb. Here is her picture. I set her free a few days later.
In July of 2010 I left that last abode in P-town. I had been looking for a way out of Provo for a long time, but nothing presented itself, so I quit my job at the MTC cafeteria and took the first job that would take me. I worked for 5 weeks in McCall Idaho as a cook for Girl Scout Camp. Here is me leaving for McCall, with my tomato plant buckled in for the trip:
It was an okay job, but I loved my time there because the location was so fantastic. The town was a tourist trap, and for good reason. It is perched on the edge of a beautiful lake and is surrounded by forests, hills, open fields and probably lots of game. The camp was on a secluded area on the bank of Payette Lake. I took my bike and had some great rides; I spent each evening on one of the docks reading and watching the sunset; and I did not get eaten by a bear, so I count my time there well spent. On one of my rides I saw a pet bobcat lounging in the driveway of one of the homes. I did not get a picture, but here are some of my favorites I did get:
Here is my cabin. I had electricity and shared it with my assistants. It was pretty nice actually.
This picture was taken from the window of my kitchen. These are two of the three fawns and their mother. They lived with us on our little peninsula and I was able to see them wandering around most days.
This is another of the local animals. It is a fox that also lives on the little peninsula, I think his name is Frank, but I don't remember for sure. He has been there for a few years and although he is not tame, he is pretty comfortable with all the people.
David, this one is for you; don't worry, I didn't let the democrats get me (although I can not promise that I hugged no trees)
And this one is for Mar....rocks, and stuff.
The next few are just some of my favorites from this area; not professional but nice to my eyes.
These are the kids from different times in the last year. Be it known that although I have no pictures of Sallard, Tubblewe, or AnnewithanE, I love them just as much as those in the pictures.
The next pictures are from a trip to Zion National Park with my friend Nicole. I can never get enough of that place.
This is from a few months ago in Lamoille canyon (Nevada for those who are not familiar). I went up for a little hike, but found about 8 feet of snow instead. It was still a good time, but much sorter than I had hoped.
Here is Speckles, or Spackles, or Getoffthedesk as I called her depending on the day. She is the office cat from my last job. As it turns out, she is the same cat that was once a kitten; the same kitten that Martell and I found at the summer job we worked eight years ago.
These are the only sad little pictures I took of the move. Yes the first one is of windmills, and no I did not hug them. The second one was from one of the many fuel stations we stopped at along the way.
I guess that is it. The last year or so in review. I have more from the new place, but that can wait for a new post.

Dang. I was backpacking up by McCall earlier this summer...I would have loved to have you along! Next time you're close to Boise let me know. It'd be great to see you!
Great overview, Molly. Can't wait for your future posts.
Loved the pix! I had no idea you could see deer out your window when you worked in McCall,I loved the "office cat." Looks like it was well fed at least... I loved the picture of Lincoln holding that giant fruit... was it a pummello???... I can't remember for sure... We are so glad to have you around again! Can't wait to see you soon!
I love that you buckled your tomato plant in. Safety first. Also, those are beautiful pictures and I'm glad you shared them. Also, I love the names you came up with for the unshown wee ones. Also, keep posting. I heart it.
yes, it was a pummello Tara!
Melinda, it will probably be a long time before i am in that part of the west, but when i do, i will let you know.
Tracie, I probably don't buckle my own self in as often as I take care of my plants and I guess it is a little funny, but I didn't even think about it when I did it.
It's about time you updated this thing. Fweak!
