Elevation

The elevation of the town I was born in, is 4549ft.  The elevation of the town I later grew up in, is 5066ft.  The elevation of the town I grew wiser in, is 23ft, and the elevation of the town in which I now reside, is 1117ft.  In each of these places, and the others in between, I have had different challenges, failures, and successes, and because of the way things turn out, I sometimes wonder if there is some kind of an inverse correlation between the number of feet I live above sea level, and the outcome of my challenges.  But I have learned that this idea is a little far fetched, and its better if I don't try and keep a tally.  Today, I will take each challenge and hope for success, but if not, I will learn from my failure and move on.  Today the elevation change I experienced is directly proportional to my success.  Today I have a new bed, which gives me a 24 inch elevation increase off of my floor, which puts me out of reach of certain desert loving arachnids......and to me, this is success.

Here is the scorpion that shared my room for the first 2 days in my new apartment:

Here is my low elevation bed where our paths first crossed:

Here is the agreement we came to after I found the source of my early morning wake-up call:
