Art?

When asked, I often tell people that I have "negative amounts of talent", which is a lie I suppose, because that is not possible; but I probably say it because it saves me from trying to come up with tangible things I can do that would be considered impressive to other people. I don't consider anything I do to be impressive, (p.s. that is not an invitation for readers to kindly point out things in argument to the previous statement) but occasionally I venture into the realm of creativity. So after I finished setting up some new pots for seeds I wanted to plant, I decided to use the leftover drainage rocks I had collected to build a sculpture.

This is not an idea I had purely on my own; it stems from a documentary I recently watched about Andy Goldsworthy who is a sculptor that uses things in nature as his media.

Even if my little sculpture isn't impressive, I had a good time building it, and now there is one more interesting thing for me to look at in my rather empty apartment. I hope you enjoy it too.

Pretty cool Molly. And not just because it's made of rocks.

Reminds me of the spiral jetty in Salt Lake. Interesting!

I like your rocks, they're interesting. Where did you find them? Also, how did you attach them?

Mom, now that you mention it, it does look like the Salt Lake sculpture.

Tracie, I found the rocks in the ditch outside my apartment, I am not completely sure they are natural rocks because they look like they came off the crumbly part of an old broken-up road. And they are not actually attached to anything, just stacked. I stacked them in lots of different ways before I settled on this configuration, and there is a good chance I will changed them later.
